In January, Man United loaned out Jack Butland, Wout Weghorst, and Marcel Sabitzer; Butland has since joined Rangers.
After Marcel Sabitzer’s loan period was officially over, Manchester United will continue to explore their possibilities, but a long-term arrangement is still doubtful.
Since they are no longer under contract to the team, Sabitzer and fellow loanee Wout Weghorst had their profiles deleted from the United website overnight.

To allow for the remote prospect of a permanent departure, United chose against saying goodbye explicitly to both players, but insiders acknowledge it is doubtful they will both return.
Due to a knee injury, Sabitzer missed the final five games of the season. The Manchester Evening News reported in May that United do not want to purchase Weghorst despite the fact that he had scored twice in 31 appearances.
Weghorst started 19 straight games for United when Anthony Martial was out with an injury. United plans to acquire a replacement centre striker.

Sabitzer, 29, scored three goals in 18 games after leaving Bayern Munich on the last day of the transfer window. In Burnley’s triumph against Newcastle in the League Cup final, Weghorst began and Sabitzer entered the game in the second half.
In spite of Fulham’s desire, United is willing to trade Fred since they are about to complete a £60 million deal to acquire offensive midfielder Mason Mount from Chelsea.
Donny van de Beek’s future is also unknown following another lacklustre year that was cut short by a knee injury in January.
