The Foreign Office’s official reaction is that the policy’s spirit is that Pakistani teams shouldn’t take part in competitions staged in Taiwan.

According to the PVF, it would be extremely humiliating for Pakistan to cancel their participation in the top-ranking competition after their entrance had already been officially confirmed.
