From July 20 to August 20 in Australia and New Zealand is the Women’s World Cup.

AFP Sport travels to the 10 venues where the matches will be played:

The primary stadium of the competition, popularly referred to as the Olympic Stadium due to its construction as the centrepiece of the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, will play home to both the tournament final and the opening-day match between Australia and Ireland on July 20.

It is the home field for National Rugby League teams Canterbury Bulldogs and South Sydney Rabbitohs, and since it opened in 1999, it has played host to several significant sports events. It is located to the west of the city.

The old Allianz Stadium at Moore Park, which has served as a sports venue since 1903, was demolished and replaced with this brand-new structure last year.

It is frequently used for football, rugby league, rugby union, and as a concert arena next to the well-known Sydney Cricket Ground. Here, there will be six games played.

The arena, also known as AAMI Park, is situated in the same neighbourhood as Melbourne Cricket Ground and Melbourne Park, which serves as the site of the Australian Open tennis tournament.

It will host six games, including Australia and Canada’s heavyweight Group B championship match, all of which are within easy walking distance of the city core.

It is Brisbane’s primary athletic and entertainment venue, and it was once known as Lang Park.

It is known as “The Cauldron” and will host eight games, including a quarterfinal and the third-place play-off. European champions England will face Haiti here to open their campaign.

This cutting-edge stadium, which is home to A-League team Perth Glory, was formerly oval and is located within a short distance from the Swan River. It is currently the sole rectangular structure in the city.

China, the defending Asian champion, and Denmark square off in Group D’s opening match on July 22, with four further contests to follow.

The stadium, which has served as South Australia’s football stadium since 1960, has undergone extensive renovations to make it tournament-ready, including a new roof for the eastern stand.

It has held a great deal of A-League games and served as a crucial location for the 2000 Sydney Olympics football competition. There will be one round-of-16 match, four group matches, and five games overall.

For more than a century, cricket and rugby have been played in New Zealand’s national stadium, which has seen many notable events, including the 1987 and 2011 Rugby World Cup finals.

The first game of the tournament between New Zealand and Norway will take place here. There will be nine games played on the holy ground in all, including the semifinal.

The Wellington Hurricanes’ Super Rugby team calls Sky Stadium, which was established in 2000 and is also located on the shores of Wellington Harbour in New Zealand, home.
