The news was verified by Muhammet Hekimolu, the ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Oman, who also suggested that a request to cancel entrance permits for both nations had been made.
The ambassador stated that the adjustment is anticipated to be approved very soon when asked about the timing for the relaxation.
The envoy made a point of outlining his current initiatives to solidify tourist collaboration between the two friendly countries in his remarks. He intends to do this by planning a number of gatherings and activities geared at luring Turkish visitors to the Sultanate of Oman. Through these activities, the ambassador hopes to highlight the unique tourism opportunities that make the Omani governorates and states stand out, giving tourists a better understanding of the wealth of resources available in the nation.
The Omani-Turkish joint committee was praised for its role in fostering cooperation relations in the commercial, industrial, cultural, and artistic fields, where a memorandum of understanding was signed during the committee’s meeting in Ankara 2022. Omani-Turkish relations are growing and developing closely in many fields and at all levels, with roots dating back to the sixteenth century.
According to data, more than 130,000 Omani tourists travelled to Turkey in 2022, and it is anticipated that this figure would rise as a result of the reduction of visa requirements and the overall rebound in the industry following the Covid era.
