KARACHI – In the next two to three years, Pakistan must grow its IT investment to $20 billion and IT exports to $25 billion, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The prime minister stated that the government has already created a framework to ensure one-window operation to assist the investors while speaking at an IT symposium and the introduction of IT projects.

This is something we can accomplish, he said. Although challenging, this is not impossible. With your assistance and knowledge, we must under all circumstances meet this goal.

The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), he said, will sit down with them to discuss problems and develop answers. He was speaking to a group of diplomats, IT specialists, investors, entrepreneurs, academics, and students.

He said that Pakistan had a large amount of untapped young potential and that the country’s $2.5 billion in exports did not match that potential. He gave the example of a neighbouring nation that had achieved great success in IT and IT exports, adding that Pakistan was ready to take that position.

To $25 billion, PM Shehbaz promises to enhance IT exports.

He referred to investors as his “masters” and promised that the government would provide them with all amenities via the SIFC. He said that in addition to General Asim Munir, the chief of army staff, he personally served as chairman of the top committee. He stated that the SIFC will prioritise increasing investment in mining, agriculture, IT, and defence manufacturing.

With the entire government there and instantly providing services to possible investors, this is truly a one-window operation. No slack will be accepted, he promised.

The country would profit from their investment, according to the prime minister, since it would increase exports and produce cash for the Gulf nations ready to invest in Pakistan. He urged all parties to march together and do everything they could to alter the course of history.

According to him, the government will encourage investors in many ways by serving as a catalyst and partner.
