Bangladesh against Afghanistan:
In place of Shakib Al Hasan, Bangladesh has announced a 15-player squad to face Afghanistan in a single Test. Litton Das will serve as the team’s captain.

Shakib Al Hasan, an all-rounder who suffered a finger injury in an ODI against Ireland and is anticipated to be out for at least six weeks, will be replaced by the keeper-batter.
Das has already captained Bangladesh in four white-ball games, including three ODIs against India in the latter part of last year, but has not yet led the team in a Test match.
The 28-year-old has participated in 38 Test matches and amassed 2319 runs, including three centuries.
Take off quickly After recovering from a side injury that held him out of Bangladesh’s Test team that defeated Ireland in April and ODI squad that toured Ireland in May, Taskin Ahmed rejoins the group.
Zakir Hasan, who made his team debut against India in December but missed the Test against Ireland owing to a thumb injury, is now back in the lineup.
The 15-player roster also includes Musfik Hasan and uncapped Shahadat Hossain.
Shahadat, a right-handed middle-order batsman, is 21 years old. He has played in 20 first-class matches and amassed 1265 runs, including two hundreds. In 2020, he was a member of Bangladesh’s winning ICC U19 Cricket World Cup team.
Both young players were a part of the Bangladesh A team that recently played an unofficial Test series against West Indies A. Musfik, a 20-year-old fast bowler, has 49 wickets from 13 matches.
On June 14, the lone Test between Afghanistan and Bangladesh will begin in Mirpur. The tourists will then return for three ODIs and two T20Is in July.
Litton Das is the captain of the Bangladeshi team, which also includes Tamim Iqbal, Zakir Hasan, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taijul Islam, Syed Khaled Ahmed, Ebadot Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, Mahmudul Hasan Joy, and Musfik Hasan.
