Owner and Players of Euro T20 Slam League

Euro T20 Slam League:

A T20 cricket competition called the “Euro T20 Slam” was envisioned for Europe in 2019. However, the league was called off just a few weeks before it was supposed to begin due to a number of problems, including organisational and financial ones. Despite being cancelled, the league had attracted a lot of attention from cricket players and spectators, and its teams and owners had been revealed in advance.

Six teams from three nations—Ireland, Scotland, and the Netherlands—were to compete in the league, and each squad would include a combination of native and foreign players. Teams and their owners are listed below:

1. Shabaz Sheikh was the owner of the Amsterdam Knights, who were slated to have their home base in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Players on the team included Ben Cutting, Hasan Ali, and Shane Watson.

2. Rotterdam Rhinos – Abdul Rahman Bukhatir, who also controlled the Sharjah Cricket Association, was the owner of the Rotterdam Rhinos. Luke Ronchi, Samit Patel, and Peter Trego were among the players on the squad, which was slated to have its home base in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

3. Glasgow Giants – The same group that owns the football team Glasgow Rangers also owns the Glasgow Giants. Brendon McCullum, Ravi Bopara, and Moises Henriques were among the players on the squad, which was to have its home base in Glasgow, Scotland.

4. The Edinburgh Rocks were owned by Sameer Qureshi and were slated to have their base of operations in Edinburgh, Scotland. Players like Martin Guptill, Chris Lynn, and Matt Henry were on the team.

5. Belfast Titans: Ali Tareen, the son of Pakistani politician Jahangir Tareen, was the owner of the Belfast Titans. Shahid Afridi, Chris Gayle, Luke Wright, and other athletes were part of the squad, which was slated to have its home base in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

6. Dublin Chiefs – Businessman and cricket lover Roy Smilie was the owner of the Dublin Chiefs. The group included stars like Eoin Morgan, Babar Azam, and Mohammad Amir and was slated to have its home base in Dublin, Ireland.

Overall

In general, cricket fans had been buzzing about the Euro T20 Slam, thus its postponement disappointed many of them. However, the league’s owners and clubs had demonstrated a dedication to delivering top-notch cricket to Europe, and there is optimism that a league such to this one may be founded in the future.
