Euro T20 Slam:
The Euro T20 Slam was a T20 cricket competition that was slated to take place in Europe in 2019, but it was cancelled before the start of the first season for a number of reasons, including logistical and budgetary difficulties. Six franchises from cities in Ireland, Scotland, and the Netherlands were to compete in the league, and 33 games were to be contested over the course of 24 days.
But only two weeks before the competition began, the league was called off, disappointing many participants and supporters who were looking forward to it. Despite the loss, there have been discussions about resurrecting the league in the future, but no specific plans have yet been disclosed.
Teams in the Euro T20 Slam
Six teams representing towns in Ireland, Scotland, and the Netherlands were to compete in the Euro T20 Slam. Each club was required to field a 16-player roster, with a minimum of six domestic players and a maximum of five international players. The following list of the six clubs and their individual cities:
Amsterdam Knights – representing Amsterdam, Netherlands
Rotterdam Rhinos – representing Rotterdam, Netherlands
Glasgow Giants – representing Glasgow, Scotland
Edinburgh Rocks – representing Edinburgh, Scotland
Dublin Chiefs – representing Dublin, Ireland
Belfast Titans – representing Belfast, Ireland

Owner of the Euro T20 Slam
In an effort to promote T20 cricket in Europe and give homegrown players a stage to display their skills, the cricket bodies of Ireland, Scotland, and the Netherlands collaborated to create the Euro T20 Championship. There was no singular proprietor or licence owner for the league, but it was backed by a number of private supporters and investors.
It was anticipated that each of the league’s six clubs would have its own administration and ownership organisation, with a blend of domestic and foreign investors. The ownership and administration arrangements of the clubs, however, were never completely formed because the league was cancelled before its first season.
